Since the 1970s, Carbon Road Pump Station has provided service for West Irving residents, who make up nearly a third of the city’s population. This project will increase its pumping capacity from 25 million to 33 million gallons of water per day. The work to be performed under this contract consists of the Carbon Pump Station Improvements including a new 33 MGD pump station with five horizontal split case pumps, motors and VFDs (including one alternate bid), and supporting appurtenances. The project also includes 1,845 LF of 24-, 36- and 42-inch water lines with associated appurtenances and demolition of the existing Carbon Pump Station facilities.
